On the palate the St. Henri unveils a structural finesse with a fine graphite core, warmth reminiscent of Mexican sauce, and the weight of wild game. Sweet custard flavors emerge, while fine cocoa tannins, as silky as spun silk, promise age-worthy elegance for decades.
The wine is a blend sourced from various regions including McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Wrattonbully, and The Peninsulas, with Coonawarra being the only omission. It is matured in large old oak vats, a consistent method for this wine, although final blend decisions may have presented some challenges.
