Sami-Odi ‘Little Wine’ #13 Syrah

Sami-Odi ‘Little Wine’ #13 Syrah
Exclusively using Shiraz from the renowned Hoffmann Vineyard for his Sami-Odi label, Fraser McKinley has redefined what Barossa wine can be. Sourced from small, often ancient vine plots and crafted with organic principles, his wines are made using only whole bunches and minimal intervention, with just a hint of sulphur. By blending across different sites, barrels, and even vintages, Fraser creates unique wines that express the essence of time, place, and people.
This unvintaged assemblage is a masterful blend, composed of casks from multiple years: 2023 (27%), 2022 (36%), 2021 (19%), 2020 (7%), 2019 (6%), 2018 (2%), 2017 (1%), 2016 (1%), and 2015 (1%). The fruit is sourced from five cherished plots within the Hoffmann's ‘Dallwitz’ vineyard, featuring vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1994, 1927, and the oldest dating back to pre-1912. This limited release saw 6348 bottles filled, encapsulating the rich heritage and meticulous craftsmanship of the vineyard.
