With an impenetrable core and a deep, glass-staining purple rim, this wine boasts aromas of ripe blueberry, dark chocolate, candied violet, and vanilla bean. It’s big and robust, with intensely powerful black and blue fruit flavors that fill every corner of the palate. Layers of black spices, vanilla pod, and dark chocolate further enhance its depth. The tannins are substantial and powerful yet remain ripe and finely textured. The wine has exceptional length, with the tannins providing a long, clear, and focused finish.

d'Or serves as a showcase for the exceptional grape parcels from each vintage. These grapes can come from new or experimental sources or be blends from various vineyards and sub-regions. The 2021 vintage primarily features grapes from the Greenock sub-region, with smaller quantities from Ebenezer and Marannaga.

The grapes were fermented in small batches and aged in 50% new French oak for 20 months before bottling. Following bottling, the wine was further aged for an additional 12 months. The winemaking process involves minimal intervention, with limited handling before bottling. The wine is neither cold stabilized nor filtered.
