Founded by Rick Kinzbrunner, Giaconda vineyard originated from Kinzbrunner's transition from mechanical engineering to a profound interest in wine during the early 1970s. Following a brief period in New Zealand, he furthered his knowledge at Davis University in California and gained experience at renowned wineries in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, including Stag's Leap, Simi, and Matanzas Creek.
