Deviation Road Beltana Blanc de Blanc 2016
Deviation Road Beltana Blanc de Blanc 2016
In the winemaking process, each parcel of grapes is handpicked and whole bunch pressed separately before blending the base wines in early spring and bottling. After aging on lees for a minimum of five years, each bottle undergoes riddling and hand disgorgement at our Longwood winery. Small batches are disgorged at a time to allow for continued aging on lees. The dosage liquor added at disgorging is a blend of base wines aged for at least 12 months, offering complexity and texture on the palate while maintaining our signature crisp finish.
The Beltana is crafted solely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the cool south-facing slopes of the Adelaide Hills. It offers enticing aromas of green apple followed by preserved lemon and a clean minerality on the palate, finishing with our characteristic crisp, mouth-watering sensation. The wine features a persistent fine bead and creamy mousse, enhancing its delightful aromas and flavors.
