Tolpuddle has delivered another amazing wine with this release from the cool 2023 vintage. In the glass, it's the palest straw color, with delicate, crisp aromas. You get citrus, white peach, and nectarine, all with subtle hints of struck match and flinty complexity. There are also notes of grilled hazelnuts, carefully balanced oak, lardo, white flowers, crushed stone, clotted cream, and a touch of sea breeze. The wine wraps around you, with precise and pure flavors, a rich umami, and a mineral backbone. The texture is smooth and dreamy, with layers of spiced oatmeal, grilled peaches, and flint. It's a truly exceptional Australian chardonnay.

Established in 1988, Tolpuddle Vineyard graces the Coal River Valley, nestled between Hobart and Richmond. In 2011, Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW took ownership of the vineyard, wholeheartedly dedicated to elevating Tolpuddle to the status of one of Australia's premier single vineyards.
