This wine presents a deep and opulent character, featuring hints of violet perfume intertwined with nuances of mahogany, walnut, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. Full-bodied and well-concentrated, it displays firm tannins that may benefit from further aging. The finish is marked by notes of coffee and iodine, supported by a lingering, intense silt-like tannic structure. Overall, it's a commendable release, although it doesn't quite reach the highest echelon.

Crafted from grapes harvested from 60 to 140-year-old dry-grown vineyards, primarily sourced from independent growers spanning various Barossa soils, altitudes, and micro-climates, this wine embodies a rare and significant post-colonial Australian aesthetic.
