This wine presents notes of dark cherry, abundant sweet spice, hints of earthiness and stone, along with undertones of liquorice, dried flowers, and sage. It exhibits a firm structure with ample ripe cherry and raspberry flavors, accompanied by generous, gravelly tannins that provide a dry yet luscious mouthfeel. The finish is remarkably long and savory.

Located at an elevation of 550 meters, our Grenache vineyard stands as one of the highest in South Australia, nestled in soils characterized by pink quartz and ironstone. Three distinct Grenache clones have been meticulously planted in bush-vine form, receiving minimal water for establishment. While still relatively young by our standards, these vines produce fruit of exceptional intensity.

Harvested in the early morning hours, the fruit is swiftly transported to the winery, where 20% whole bunches are retained. A delicate fermentation takes place in concrete eggs, followed by pressing into 500-liter French oak barrels of second and third use.
