Grosset Gaia Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc 2019
Grosset Gaia Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc 2019
Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine production amounts to 5000 bottles. It exudes elegance, balancing robustness and subtle power with finesse. The acidity acts as a vital component, akin to a titanium bolt, fortifying the structure with vitality and finesse. Flavors of blackberries, cassis, licorice, mulberry, and raw cocoa intertwine with nuances of nori, pink peppercorns, pastrami, blood plum, kelp, and brine, resulting in a marvelous ensemble.
Jeffrey Grosset is widely acclaimed as Australia's top riesling producer, both domestically and internationally. However, his expertise extends beyond riesling, encompassing chardonnay and pinot noir from the Adelaide Hills, as well as Gaia, a Bordeaux blend from the Clare Valley, and Apiana Fiano and Nereus, a shiraz-based wine with a hint of nero d'Avola. Despite his unassuming demeanor, Jeffrey possesses a determined resolve. Notably, Grosset's four estate-owned vineyards in the Clare Valley are certified organic and biodynamic.
