The wine presents a semi-translucent dark red hue with black-tinged edges and a light red tone. Its aromatic profile is striking, offering fragrant notes of ripe cherries and wild strawberries infused with hints of violet, anise, smoky cedar, subtle clove, and spice. The palate delights with flavors of dark cherries and ripe strawberries accentuated by clove, underscored by smoky cedar, traces of anise, forest floor, and spicy dried herbs. Its mouthfeel is wonderfully supple, culminating in an expansive, peacock tail-like finish. Velvet smooth tannins, well-balanced acidity, and a very long, appealing aftertaste round off this exceptional Pinot, arguably Giaconda's finest yet.

Giaconda's Pinot Noir has undergone enhancements with new plantings and clones introduced into the blend. The inclusion of these plantings in richer soils and cooler locations has led to a delayed ripening process, allowing for greater flavor complexity, improved acidity, and finer tannin structure in the vines. Rick & Nathan Kinzbrunner regard this as one of the most outstanding expressions of Pinot achieved at Giaconda to date.
