Nicknamed ‘The White Grange,’ Yattarna sits at the pinnacle of Penfolds’ white wine portfolio. It was born from an ambitious goal, to craft an outstanding Australian Chardonnay. Since its debut in 1998, Yattarna has embodied the results of years of research and refinement, with 144 trial wines paving the way for what is now known as Bin 144. Its name, derived from an Indigenous word meaning "little by little, gradually", reflects the patience, commitment, and pursuit of excellence that define Penfolds winemaking. Only the finest Chardonnay fruit sourced in any vintage earns its place in the final blend.

Sourced from Tasmania, Tumbarumba and Adelaide Hills, 8 months in French oak (50% new). The blending must have taken weeks to finalise. Opens with a fanfare of aromas and flavours, and increases its impact through to the incredibly long finish and aftertaste.
