Sourced from old-vine, dry-grown bush vines located in Blewitt Springs and Clarendon, including the Smart vineyard, which holds the distinction of being the highest vineyard in the region. An astute approach was taken, employing partial carbonic fermentation with a layer comprising 25% whole clusters of fruit amidst destemmed berries. Following this, the wine was pressed to older wood barrels of various sizes. This meticulous method yields a fragrant delicacy characterized by notes of lilac, rosewater, nori, raspberry, Seville orange, and white pepper. The tannins are smooth and succulent, with just enough gritty assertiveness to balance the sweet fruit.

McLaren Vale and Grenache make a perfect pair, akin to classic combinations like apple and pie or sun and sand, unlike Vegemite, which might be an acquired taste on its own.
