Pooley Wines began in 1985, when Denis and Margaret Pooley planted their first vines along the banks of Tasmania’s Coal River. What started as a retirement project, a modest 16-hectare farm at Cooinda Vale with just seven rows of Pinot Noir and ten of Riesling soon became a source of one of Tasmania’s most celebrated cool-climate vineyards.

A blend of Cooinda Vale, Butcher’s Hill and select parcels from the Coal River
Valley. Fruit was handpicked and then whole bunch pressed to tank. Fermented in stainless steel. Brief maturation on fine less prior to bottling.

The first sip reveals sweet notes of orange zest and mandarin. Bright, crisp acidity refreshes the palate, lime cordial, tangy apple sherbet, and delicate hints of dry honeysuckle and white jasmine. True exceptional expression of cool-climate Riesling.
