Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Founded in 1844 in South Australia, Penfolds is one of the world’s most iconic and celebrated wine producers. Blending tradition with innovation, Penfolds has crafted some of the most collectible and distinguished wines.

Bin 707 is a quintessential expression of Penfolds' ‘House Style’ in cabernet sauvignon, exemplifying our expertise in sourcing fruit from multiple vineyards and regions. First produced in 1964, Bin 707 has firmly established itself as one of Australia’s premier cabernet sauvignons, renowned for its exceptional aging potential.

Coonawarra and Barosa Valley, particularly the Kalimna and Koonunga Hill vineyards, have been at the heart of the Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1970s. More recently, Robe, Padthaway and Wrattonbully vineyards in South-East South Australia have been added to the sourcing list. Bin 707 unfurls an impressive array of flavours. The palate is enrobed in velvety tannins, bestowing upon this wine an exquisite depth and impeccable structure.

Tasting Notes

"Deep, dark red, the wine has an extremely complex and varietally expressive bouquet, its fragrant scents having a pinot noir-like allure, drawing you back repeatedly. The blackcurrant and cassis palate is a seamless extension of the bouquet, with extreme length and such impeccable balance it hovers on the edge of outright elegance." 97 Points - Halliday Wine Companion, James Halliday (2021).
