The wine's slip of texture, creaminess, and nuttiness is attributed to its four-month maturation in used French oak barriques and regular lees stirring. Enhanced with notes of grapefruit, lemon, lime juice, fresh herbs, and passionfruit, it results in a delightful beverage. It pairs wonderfully with food or can be enjoyed on its own.

This exceptional winery and vineyard is owned by the Horgan family, originally founded by Denis and Tricia, who remain actively involved alongside their children, Justin Horgan and Simone Furlong, who serve as joint chief executives. In my view, the Art Series Chardonnay stands as Australia’s finest example, based on the past 30 vintages. The estate’s extensive plantings, combined with carefully selected grapes from other growers, support the production of high-quality Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, the highly sought-after Art Series Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the more affordable Prelude and Siblings wines.
