This sparkling wine offers a complex profile, featuring ripe fruit characters and yeast-derived nuances from extended lees aging. Fresh red apples, lemon, and citrus curd mingle with subtle toast, brioche, and flint notes. With its natural acid backbone, the wine has exceptional drive and length, capable of aging gracefully and developing further toasted complexities over time under cork.

Named after Marie Christien Lugten, one of our esteemed custodians, our Grand Vintage represents a decade-long endeavor to create a top-tier sparkling wine from Western Australia, a region yet to be recognized for such excellence. Crafted from the finest fruit and aged for a minimum of five years in our cellars, each Grand Vintage epitomizes sophistication and complexity, showcasing the potential of Western Australia.

Like all their premium sparkling wines, this blend is meticulously hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to capture only the finest juice, known as the Cuvee (500 liters/ton), destined for both tank and barrel. Following a double settling process, the juice undergoes a lengthy and cool fermentation. A carefully selected blend of premium Pemberton Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) is chosen for their consistent ability to produce world-class sparkling wines.
