Serveaux Fils Carte d'Or NV
Serveaux Fils Carte d'Or NV
On the nose, you'll find aromas of white peach, pear, and brioche, accompanied by delightful sweet, biscuity, and pear notes. The palate is refreshed and vibrant, featuring a persistent and gentle mousse that enhances the overall experience.
One of the three original cuvées crafted by Georges Serveaux in the 1970s, this wine is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. For this latest release, reserve wines from 2018 (80%) and 2017 (20%) are used. The wine undergoes traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks, with only partial malolactic fermentation. It is then bottled and aged on the lees for approximately 36 months, exceeding the standard aging requirements for non-vintage champagne. With a low dosage of 6g per liter, the wine retains its crisp, vibrant, and fresh character.
