The 2022 Chardonnay is a blend of 40% Huon Valley and 60% Derwent Valley, sourced from the Lubiana family vineyards. The grapes, meticulously handpicked and sorted, underwent whole bunch pressing before being placed in 228L French oak barrels, with 15% being new oak. The fermentation process was wild and gradual, with malolactic fermentation occurring in Spring. The wine rested on full lees for 11 months, carefully racked out of barrels in February 2023, and bottled in June 2023 without filtration.

"A mix of 60/40% Huon Valley/Derwent Valley chardonnay from Lubiana's estate vineyards; matured in French oak (15% new) for 11 months. Mid-straw in the glass, the 2022 release sports a little more concentration and horsepower under the hood. Lemony and citrus pure with notes of white peach, nectarine, fine spice, lemon curd, nougat, vanilla paste, struck match and grilled nuts.
