Place Of Changing Winds Tradition White 2022
Place Of Changing Winds Tradition White 2022
With a mid-light yellow color, this wine is forward for its age. The wood aging adds smoky charcuterie, spices, and honey, creating a complex bouquet. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a round, viscous texture and well-judged phenolics enhancing the structure. The finish is long and satisfying, making it an excellent Rhône-style dry white with great character and texture.
This year, wine was blended with three white grapes, aiming for a result as impressive as their Tradition red. The outcome exceeded our expectations. The blend consists of one-third Chardonnay from a new Dominique Laurent Tronçais cask and two-thirds Marsanne/Roussanne. It combines the richness of Marsanne/Roussanne with the sharpness of Chardonnay and a touch of elegant oak. The wine aged for a year in a mix of 500-litre casks, Wineglobes, and neutral barriques, followed by a second year in steel, and was bottled in November 2023.
