This wine hails from the (EB) experimental batch of Mac Forbes. You can expect preserved red fruits like cherries and plums along with green bell pepper, with the wine giving away a bit of age worthy characters like pencil shaving and leather.

Mac Forbes started his career at Mount Mary, serving as winemaker for several years before heading abroad in 2002. He spent two years in London with Southcorp in marketing, then traveled to Portugal and Austria for additional experience. Returning to the Yarra Valley before the 2005 vintage, he began sourcing grapes to produce his own wines. Today, Mac offers a range of Victorian and Yarra Valley wines from grower fruit, alongside a single-vineyard series from his own sites. Since acquiring the Woori Yallock vineyard in 2011, he has focused on improving and expanding his vineyards, which have been dry-farmed since 2015 and moving towards organic practices from 2017.
